MAIN DUTIES |
To promote the work of HVS amongst Third Sector organisations/groups in Harris and add to the membership offering. To support communication about HVS and Third Sector to relevant audiences through a newsletter column and social media. Carry out governance health checks and a needs analysis of local Third Sector organisations/groups in relation to support and developmental. Further develop the HVS Community liaison to: -provide an opportunity for information exchange and examples of good practice, therefore helping organisations to become more effective and efficient. -identify training needs among third sector organisations & facilitate provision, specifically for Digital and IT support. -act (with HVS manager) as a conduit for information to individual Harris organisations and their members. -Support project delivery of any HVS supported activities on the Harris Plan, Locality plan or HVS driven initiatives You will also be required to: collate and ensure the timely and accurate submission of reports attend & minute meetings related to the post visit community organisations (in-line with pandemic allowances) other duties as assigned from time to time. Desirable attributes: -demonstrable ability to manage dead-lines -proven report writing skills -experience with social media campaigns -good working knowledge of project management -local knowledge of community, geography & member organisations -spoken / written Gaelic a plus Assuming the future resumption of Protection Level 0, this post involves travelling throughout Harris and attending some evening meetings, therefore the successful applicant should have a full driving licence and access to a car. Overnight attendance at off-island meetings/ conferences may sometimes be required The post is line managed by the HVS Development Manager and is accountable to HVS Board of directors.
